vCenter permission to run resxtop

In Global section there is a permission called “Service managers”. Despite having quite meaningless name it actually allows use of the resxtop command in the vSphere CLI.

    Hi Nik,
restop is showing an error like “Login failed, reason: Cannot get service manager”. I am entering correct username and password but seeing this error in paricular to this VC. If i wil go the solution given by you, could you please let me know where exactly i will set the permission to run resxtop in VC. I did not find the “Global section” mentioned by you in VC’s. i have vc installed in windows 2008 sever. I tried to find the “vpxd.cfg”, but that also ended with no success.
    Your help wil be appreciated.

    Santosh
